What does Balance mean to you?

Welcome to the first Chooseday newsletter for 2011. I trust that you managed to have a break and refresh over the festive season!

While working on 2011 goals with one of my clients, we once again pondered on the true meaning of balance in our life.

The old notion of balance being like a see-saw, with each side precariously level and at risk of being thrown off balance, really doesn’t appeal to me. This is one of the main reasons why I called our company Evolve Dynamic. In the same way as you can sit in an aircraft, cruising at a million miles an hour, totally relaxed, with a glass of wine or your favourite food or beverage – I like to use this visual as my “balance” – balance in motion! Evolve Dynamic – improve, develop, stretch – in such a way as to be exciting or dynamic. How much more fun is it if we can grow, develop and have perfect equilibrium while still going places at speed?
