“Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.” ~ Napoleon Hill
When you get clear on what you want, you become prepared to sacrifice other things to get what you want. Daily we make choices based on our priorities, whether we do this consciously, or unconsciously. There are choices make on how we spend our time (work, family, exercise, rest), how we spend our money, what we think about, what we listen to and what we speak about.
If you’re not crystal clear, you end up simply working hard, and sacrificing time with those that are closest to you and compromising your own values. This isn’t a happy way to live but it may feel you have to live this way.
When you’re moving towards a goal you’ve spent some time thinking about, getting clear on, the things you sacrifice don’t feel like sacrifice. It’s a case of giving up something of less importance in your life to get what is more important.
The most unselfish thing you can do is to tap into your true self – tap into your next power. Living in your true potential encourages others around you to do the same, and this is the greatest gift you could give to those you work with or live with. Working with a leadership coach, right here in Perth, could be the most lucrative investment you make in yourself and in your career.
