Beware the temptation to become self-righteous!

This is an excerpt from the daily writing I do as I get inspired. This is an unedited post – enjoy!

As we ponder on “Thoughts Create Our Reality”, beware the insidious temptation to become self-righteous.

Ponder with humility on the grace of God which is bestowed on you. Not because of who you are, what you’ve done or thought, but because you exist.

The grace of God which passes all understanding – combined with us focusing our attention on what is required of us, combines into a great journey. Recognise how much is out of our control and remember it with awe.

So much has conspired together to get you this far. None of it was done in your own strength (or that’s when it was especially tough going, when you were trying to do everything in your own strength).

Don’t ever be smug in thinking it was your thoughts and goal setting alone that created your success.

When you’re honest about how so many things needed to come together in order for you to achieve your goals, it will humble and inspire you.

God is not a puppet. (Nor is The Universe / Universal Energy / Your Innate Knowing / Yaweh / Grand-Overall-Designer or any other term you may use to refer to whatever we know exists that is bigger-than-us, but-can’t-quite-know-what-to-call-it).

God is not a puppet that we can order around on a whim. We were born with a program inside of us. When we openly and honestly acknowledge our true self, our strengths and abilities and true desires – and take action where we need to, that is when we fulfil our purpose and really achieve our GIG (God Inspired Goals).

It’s your GIG. You will succeed at your GIG!

Open up to the desire within, listen to what your soul really wants and pursue that.

Then you’re not pursuing selfish egotistical goals, but getting into your groove that you were designed to be in.

How do we do this?  We need to get honest, raw and open with what our heart and soul want. Even listening to the Ego can give us a clue, because I believe we were given an ego for a reason, and it’s not all bad!

Make sure you’ve got someone around you that will allow you to be open and honest and will believe in your dreams.
