Set workable strategies and routes to get there… and have fun while doing it!!

Hi, I’m Tracey Loubser, and I work with business owners to crunch their numbers to
achieve the profits & cash-flow they want.
Since I first met Jill Hutchison, (from Evolve Dynamic), not only have I have started my own business,
but I have reset so many Paradigms which I now know held me back.

Initially I didn’t really believe that I had what it took to run a successful business –
even though I had been successful in my corporate roles of Cost Accountant and Risk manager,
but working with Jill helped me build the toolbox to run my business.

Jill has influenced my business and personal life in so many ways – firstly she has helped me
get clear on what I really, really want, without setting any limitations… Which is probably why I had been hesitant to dream BIG in the past!  She helped me clear the clutter that was overwhelming and confusing me – to find the things that were going to move me forward.

She has helped me set workable strategies and routes to get there… And best of all have fun while doing it!!

Secondly, she has introduced me to other people who have assisted in my business growth.

Thirdly, her marketing and economic background has really helped get me focused on those areas… (which as a number cruncher needed allot of improvement)

In addition to all of this, she always helps me to get my life back into perspective – which I really appreciate as a wife and mother of two small children and an entrepreneur.

If you’re ready to have your mind opened to all your own possibilities, then you should work with Jill. I don’t know of any other person who will open up possibilities like she does. She walks her talk and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals in their business – while giving them more time to do other things that they also enjoy!

I’ve got Clarity since working with Jill

Hi I’m Beatrice Cervi, an architect.
I’m doing Diamond Coaching with Jill Hutchison from Evolve Dynamic.

Initiallly I was unsure about taking up the coaching with Jill. I had never done this level of coaching before. I was unsure about what I was going to get, and what we were going to talk about!
I decided to go ahead because I had attended a 6-week course with Jill on setting goals and found it very useful. I also decided to do it because I realised my past conditioning and mindset (which had got me where I was) was possibly holding me back.

I wanted to change direction in my business and decided to give it a go.
Since coaching with Jill I’ve got a heck of a lot out of it.
I’ve started to get clarity in my thinking, and to be clearer on what I want and where I want to go. Jill has helped me with that.
I have started to have more of a balance between my business and the rest of my life.

When was the last time you got to think about YOU?

Are you having fun? Or are you remembering the times when your life was more fun than it is now?

I used to think that fun wasn’t a value. That fun wasn’t a worthy value to uphold. For some peculiar reason, I thought that honesty and integrity were more worthy ideals than Fun. However, what I have come to realise is that I only really have fun when all my other values are being adhered to. If one value is out of whack, then I can feel it and I don’t have a whole lot of fun with whatever I’m doing.

Today I assisted a very talented lady to get clear on her values. It was a profound experience for her, one that she had never done – and it assisted her to choose her direction that matched her core values. She discovered where she had been out of alignment with her values, and sorted through the priority of her values.

I have also learnt along the way that when I’m having fun with work, it doesn’t feel like work. I have the most fun when I’m using my talents and skills to the max. This is also the time when I allow others to do the tasks that are in their own skillset – and they have fun too!

When things are fun, I find my productivity goes up. When things feel all too hard, that’s when I know I’m doing something wrong, or I’m focusing on the wrong things.

How could you turn whatever you’re doing right now into something more fun? Because it’s Chooseday today, you can choose the values you wish to take forward, and how you perceive whatever you’re doing.

Above the clouds

As I sat in the plane today, flying from Perth to Sydney, I was marveling at the clouds beneath us.

Even after many flights, I still love the feeling of being above the clouds – of how everything gets smaller as you leave the ground.  Problems that looked big on the ground, suddenly seem small in comparison to the magnificent landscape that becomes visible as you soar like a bird.

This was before I decided to my jumper out of my hand-luggage in the overhead locker.  As I pulled it out, two pairs of undies came out too – flew into the air and down to the floor, much to the amusement of the other passengers!  But that’s a story for another time – I’m still trying to decide if I was relieved the offending articles were of the cotton “mumsy” variety (this is a business trip, after all) – or whether it would have been more fun if they were skimpy satin and lace!  The man who fetched one item for me gingerly between his thumb and forefinger might have had a comment to match the grin on his face!

Did you know that the sun always shines above the clouds?   You might be under those clouds and think that it’s overcast and miserable – but above those very same clouds it’s shining bright!

Next time you’re feeling like you’re “under a cloud”, would it help if you remembered this?

You can choose to stay under that cloud and either be miserable, dance in the rain, or go and find a sunny spot!

Some people always manage to rise above the clouds, despite their circumstance.  I love rising above the clouds.

Are you like a balloon?

If you blow a balloon up to it’s full capacity, leave it like that for a day or two, and then let the air out, it never returns to its original shape. It might get back down to a similar size, but it doesn’t have the same smooth surface that it did when it was newly purchased.

We are very similar to balloons (and yes, there are also people filled with hot air!!) – but if you are stretched to your full ability, you will never return to your original form.

You may have moved countries or states as we have.  Moving from South Africa to Australia has made us dig deeper inside ourselves than we had ever dug before.  We had watched others move countries and thought we knew what they were going through, but now after having been through it, I realised we had no clue!

Setting a major goal that disrupts your entire life, to relocate somewhere else, stretches you – your character, your mind, your emotions, your physical body – every aspect of your life changes.   Setting and achieving a major financial goal, fitness goal or career goal can also stretch and challenge you.

When you have achieved that goal and things calm down a bit, you may wonder why you’re not feeling as happy as you had before – or feel a bit uncertain about what you really want. This is because you’ve been stretched to step up to your goal – and now you’re like a deflated balloon, trying to return to it’s original shape.

What should one do when you’re at this point?  I think it’s time to review your life and set some new goals. A bigger goal than you’ve set before – one that really excites you. As Bob Proctor said: “If your goal isn’t scary and exciting, then it’s not a big enough goal for you!”  Some people do this on their own, others decide to work with a good life coach or LifeSuccess Consultant to get clear on what they really want.

There are a number of things to think about here.  One is to remember that you’ve been stretched, have grown and developed new skills.  You have become a bit more resilient and have stretched your mind with new information and expertise.
You are not the same person you were before you started this journey – so you’re not necessarily going to feel the same satisfaction with the things that did it for you before.  This is quite normal!

Accept that you’ve changed, and decide what you really want from life. Do you need to set a bigger goal that is going to allow you to grow more and to stretch more? Or would you like to get more balance into your life – by cutting out the things that have become a distraction rather than adding to your enjoyment of life.

Having  children stretches you, challenges you (or is it just my kids that do that?!) – and you grow as a result.  As they get bigger you adapt to a changing or evolving family. Life is dynamic, we evolve as time goes on.

What do you really want? What new goal would you like to set that is going to grow you into more of who you want to be. If you’ve heard of BE, DO, HAVE, you know that you need to be the person you want to be, before you do the actions that are going to get you what you want to have.

If you think you’ll only be happy when you have more money, a better spouse or a better job – you probably won’t!  Decide to be happy now, appreciate your partner (or lack thereof), find the good in the job you’re doing – and you will attract into your life more of what you want.  You can still aspire to greater heights, but make sure you’re happy now.

You can be content with you life and not satisfied. The dissatisfaction is what keeps us growing, and setting new goals. Without new goals we get stagnant, complacent and stay in our comfort zone – life gets boring!

My mother would be horrified to hear me talking about life being boring! She always said that people who get bored have got nothing in their heads!  We got into serious trouble if we ever mentioned that word in our house! (and shuddered if we had a friend dare to use it – they either got “the look”, a curled lip, or a lecture!)

So if you’re feeling like someone’s let the air out of you (and you normally enjoy life), then you’re not being stretched enough – you’re not thinking enough – you’re not creating enough excitement in your life.  It’s no-one else’s responsibility to create excitement in your life – only you can do that!

It’s important to be happy wherever you are, but you don’t have to be satisfied.  Happiness and satisfaction are different!

Luckily today is Choose-day and you can choose whether you want to be setting a new goal that will stretch you, excite you, make you a more interesting person to spend time with, or if you want to try and fit back into who you were years ago.  I don’t want to look like a shrivelled balloon, do you?
